This program is for anyone looking to get outside, connect with nature, be in the moment.. Whether you’re returning to activity after an injury or just want a calm, supported outing, our team is here to guide the way with adaptive gear, trained volunteers, and no expectations.

 FAQs

  • Not at all. Most participants are trying something for the first time, and we’re here to support you at every step.

  • If you’re able to manage your personal care and communicate your needs, there’s usually no need to bring a caregiver. Our team is trained to support you throughout the outing.

    However, if you require help with things like transfers, medication, or personal care, a caregiver or support person is not just welcome. They’re essential and will need to join you on your adventure.

  • We offer guided assistance, help with transfers, adaptive gear (like trail riders, sit-skis, and paddle supports), and lots of encouragement. Our volunteers are trained to help participants with a range of physical, sensory, and cognitive needs.

  • Yes! We regularly work with schools, day programs, care homes, and community organizations. Custom group experiences can be arranged. Just reach out through our Group Request Form and we’ll co-design something that fits your group’s needs.

  • We’ll let you know exactly what to bring based on the activity. In general, wear layered clothing for the weather, closed-toe shoes, and bring water and any personal items you may need. We provide the adaptive gear, and a checklist if needed.

  • You’re encouraged to bring any medications or snacks you may need, and let us know if you have specific requirements. We plan around washroom access and always aim to make sure you’re comfortable.

  • Of course! Many participants are nervous the first time, and that’s okay. This is a low-pressure, welcoming space where the focus is connection, not performance.

  • There’s a small program fee of $25 for each outing.

    But we never want cost to be the reason someone stays home.

    If finances are a barrier, please let us know. We want to ensure that anyone can experience the outdoors!

  • We always put safety first. If the weather crosses our Go/No-Go criteria - like extreme temperatures, poor air quality, or unsafe travel conditions - we’ll contact you right away with updates or changes.

    That said, a little rain or snow won’t stop us. Sometimes, those are the most memorable adventures of all.

  • Just become a member. Once you’re signed up, we’ll connect with you to find the right activities, and make sure you feel confident joining.
