Levels of Experience

Our vacations and trips provide various levels of experiences for accommodations, travel and food. Whether you want to stay in luxury or “rough it” and sleep under the stars with the moonlight cascading over the mountain peaks. CRIS has a variety of different types of accommodation available to meet your needs. From Rob (19)[wptab name=’Luxury Hotel (1)’] You want  four or five star accommodations in a higher end hotel/resort this experience is for you. Instead of cooking by camp fire you will return to the luxury of your hotel where you can freshen up before your dinning in one of top local establishments. With this level of experience you can enjoy a exhilarating hike or kayak during the day and come back to your hotel to enjoy all that it has to offer! Staying in a hotel/resort is great for those who want the comforts of home in the evening while enjoying the beauty of mother nature during the day. Individuals interested in a luxury level of experience will have the option of fine dining as well as restaurant dining. Accessible rooms are a major advantage to this level of experience. People enjoying these trips may have access to medical facilities as well as use of numerous amenities (spas, pools, gyms, etc.). Room rates for this level of experience start at $200 per night and up.

[wptab name=’Hotel/Motel (2)’] Do you like the idea of staying in a hotel or motel? Do you like the freedom of having your own accessible room? The level 2 experience provides you with a private vacation where you have access to many of the amenities of home.  This option is perfect as it allows you to partake in wilderness activities and come back to your own room to relax and sleep in the comforts of a bed. Through this option you have the ability to eat at restaurants or potentially cook your own food. Go on a day hike, experience the beauty of the region, and then fill the rest of your day with a variety of different options. This is the perfect choice for people who want a relaxing vacation, but don’t want to spend the type of money that goes hand-in-hand with staying in a luxurious resort.1195464_34_b If you have any questions or concerns please ask! [wptab name=’Cabin (3)’] Cabins provide a unique wilderness experience that verge the gap between being in the wild to staying in comfort. In this level of experience you will be provided with a warm bed, bathrooms, stoves and electricity. Various cabins may not be considered accessible, but CRIS staff can make sure that your concerns are alleviated. Whether it be through the use of manual transfers or adaptive equipment CRIS will make the cabin meet your needs. Being able to go on a hike and come back to your cabin for a campfire and evening of stories is a memory that will be hard to forget. Through this level of experience you can feel safe from the elements and enjoy the comfort of having a place to return to at the end of a day exploring the best nature has to offer. A level 3 experience is perfect for someone looking to get more comfortable with the wilderness and camping.01W-Watson-917  If you have any questions or concerns please ask! [wptab name=’Cabin/Tent (4)’] Are you nervous about spending your entire stay in a tent? This is a great opportunity to experience tent camping and still have the comforts of a cabin for recouping days. Then this level of trip is for you! A level 4 trip will enable you to test out staying in a tent with the potential to stay in a more upscale type of accommodation (cabins)! Numerous parks enable tourists to stay in cabins on a first come first serve basis and provide a great way to spend some time sheltered from the wilderness. You will have little to no access to modern amenities (no running water, electricity, heat, etc.) and all of your meals will be home made on camp stoves. A level 4 type of trip will be primarily self-supported with limited medical assistance available. Bathroom facilities are limited, but outhouses are available.  There will be no opportunity for showers. You are responsible for ensuring that your own personal care needs are met (if needed hire a care giver, or let us know so we can try and find someone to assist you). CRIS staff can work  with you to make sure you are comfortable and provide you with tips on how to handle personal care in a wilderness setting. tumblr_mga5z7d1wA1qgqot9o1_500If you have any questions or concerns please ask! [wptab name=’Tent (5)’] Do you want an authentic wilderness experience? Do you want to be able to boast that you braved the elements and “roughed it”! The 5th level of experience provides a back-country enthusiast’s dream. Stay in tents, sleep in sleeping bags, and cook over camp stoves.  If you are ready to experience tenting you are ready to experience some of the most breathtaking and serene locations mother nature has to offer. These trips offer remote settings and are generally completely self-supported. Medical assistance is not readily available and people should feel comfortable leaving modern commodities at home (lift systems, internet, computers, cellphones, showers etc.). Bathroom facilities are scarce and outhouses are considered a luxury. You are responsible for ensuring that your own personal care needs are met throughout your endeavor. If you are unable to provide your own care or source adequate resources capable of travelling with you, notify our office and we will work with you to establish appropriate care for the duration of your time with us.  CRIS staff can work with you to make sure that you are comfortable as well as provide you with tips on how to handle personal care in a wilderness setting. Anand 03If you have any questions or concerns please ask!
