We are lucky enough to have one of the most amazing trails at our disposal. It’s one of the most popular trails in the park called Cathedral Rim Trail. This particular trail starts off in the alpine meadows and slowly begins to ascend to the top of the rim. This hike provides a spectacular view of your surroundings. Other alternative options on this tour are: enjoying the sun by the lake, wildlife viewing, going fishing and many other activities. The options at this park are endless! [wptab name=’Logistics’] Transportation: Transportation is not included for this trip. All participants are responsible for getting themselves to and from the location identified in the Itinerary. If transportation is an issue, we will work with you to find an alternative. Alternative transportation costs will be added to the price of the trip. These costs will be determined based on individual and specific needs. Once getting to the park all participating individuals will catch a ride on park vehicles. No personal vehicles are allowed up this road as the road is parks contracted. If this inhibits you from booking this trip don’t fret, as we have the ability to ensure that you are comfortable for the ride up to the campsite. We take pride in our ability to adapt to any situation, and eliminate barriers.
Meals: Meals are provided within the costs of this trip. If any individuals would prefer to eat at the hotel’s restaurant they have the ability to do so, but are responsible for paying for their meal themselves.

[wptab name=’Booking Info’] In order to book a trip participants must contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 250 979 3941. Trip planners will work one-on-one with you to determine exactly what is required and will be needed to ensure your safety and comfort throughout your experience. Once goals, expectations, and needs have been discussed participants will receive an estimate for the costs of their trip. A 50% down payment will be required at the time of booking. 20% of the 50% down payment is non-refundable as it is allocated towards trip planning. The remainder of payment will be required two weeks before the trips commence. Trips should be booked as early as possible as availability is limited. People who book before May 15th will receive a 10% discount.
[wptab name=’Staff’] Trip Leader: Troy Becker Is a full-time firefighter based out of West Kelowna, BC. To say he is a qualified expedition leader is a gross understatement. Troy founded CRIS in 2001 and ever since has been leading Adaptive Wilderness Adventures. He leads the majority of CRIS AWA trips and has almost every qualification you could want from the person in charge. Troy also spends his time as a volunteer Search & Rescue member. His may years of training and experience have prepared him to deal with challenging, dangerous, and emotional situations.
Camp Coordinator and Logistics Manager: Eric Rampone Is a full-time employee of CRIS Adaptive Adventures. Ever since starting with the organization in 2010 he has continued to provide adaptive recreational experiences for various individuals. Eric has hundreds of hours worth of experience out on trips and has facilitated numerous Adaptive Wilderness Adventures. He provides an energetic atmosphere while maintaining safety and overall trip enjoyment.

[wptab name=’Costs’] Costs for AWA Trips vary significantly dependent upon numerous factors. The severity of the disability a person has can influence the costs of the trips. For example a person needing full assistance (a TrailRider) will require more help than someone with a minor barrier. Participants are encouraged to bring friends, care support, or family with them on AWA trips. Group rates are available. Those who have preferences about whom they do the trip with may incur higher costs than individuals going as a large group.
