Adaptive Adventures

June 20 Gray Canal TrailThe Adaptive Adventures program provide day and evening excursions that run throughout the Okanagan region of beautiful British Columbia. These programs are specifically designed to enable all people regardless of disability to enjoy the benefits of outdoor recreation. These programs include cycling, hiking, and kayaking for the spring and summer. As for the winter programs consist of Sherpa hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.  All of our programs vary in location and suit a variety of interests. Whether it is an informative hike that you seek or a huge water fight out on the water, Adaptive Adventures programs provide an experience for all to enjoy – no matter their age or ability.  These trips are typically 2 hours long and time-based programs. We have an Adaptive Youth Adventures program specifically designed for participants aged 13-29.

The majority of Adaptive Adventures programs occur during the week but we also provide some trips on the weekends. Evening trips are offered intermittently depending on interest and availability. The locations of all these activities vary on a weekly basis, providing refreshing variations in settings and landscapes. We encourage everyone and anyone to come and join us on our Adaptive Adventures programs. Family members, care givers, and friends are more than welcome to join us on outings, just let us know that you will be attending.
